In Confidence

Okay, I know it's been forever since I last updated (and the 3 of you who read this are the only people affected, and I'm sure you didn't even notice.)  There's some stuff going on, but I can't talk about it.  It's mostly job-related, so I'd rather not go over it in a public forum.  However, I did write it out entirely, and have it in my private post stash.  Those who wish it upon themselves to read it (aka: undoubtedly no one) can ask, and you may receive...  otherwise, here's the releasable copy.

So the question is: have I been watching too much Burn Notice? ;P

For the not-so-private stuff.  I've finally beaten Dragon Age!  Still going back to work on achievements, but I'm also going to start playing Bioshock Infinite.  Beat another CSI game, need more of those.  Mike bought me Fable Journeys, so I need to play that too :D  I've been tempted to get the Origin Humble Bundle that is currently up, but I don't know if I'll play any of those games any time soon.  Besides, they include Dead Space 1 and 3, but not 2.  WTF mate?

Been playing a bit of League of Legends.  It's not bad.  When I find a character I like, I'll tool around for awhile, but the lack of maps really get me down.  Mike and I have been all over Rift.  Well, relatively speaking.  We're about level 35 now, and it's still fun :)  Got to play something else, too, but I'm definitely not allowed to speak about it.

The Pathfinder game has been going really well!  However, at Chance's birthday dinner a weekend ago, he, Danielle, Mike, and I were talking after everyone else had left.  Chance revealed to us that David had been feeling down regarding the party members not trusting one another.  We've been back in the big city recently, and so we've been breaking off going a couple of different directions.  I know that can be difficult to keep up with (try 8 player characters to watch…) but I had no idea that he was thinking that we weren't getting along in-game.  I explained that my character is a mercenary; she's used to not getting to know the people she works with since they're usually only together for that job or couple of jobs.  Mike explained that Chance's character comes off a bit crazy sometimes with the way he wants to do things, and so that can make him take a step back and want to talk things out before we go rushing off as a party.

With the upcoming portion of the story, I don't think there's anything to worry about.  Something's happened to my character that will bring me closer to another character, and because of Chance's character saving me in court I have developed trust in him.  I hope David doesn't feel discouraged, because I really don't want this game to end.  I already know that when I leave town I'll probably have to leave the game (unless they're up for a Skype player! :) ) so I want to enjoy it as much as I possibly can now.

I purchased RPG Maker XVAce (or whatever the newish one is called these days.)  I've been going through a tutorial, and I have another tutorial I want to play with before I delve into my own game-making.  So far it's really fun!  I've got so many ideas for what I want to do with my games :D

For Chance's birthday, the PF group minus Sammy went out to Ginnie Springs.  I'd never really been (save for the one trip in… elementary school?) so I was super excited.  We all went down the river on inner tubes :D  Well, except for David, who swam around like a dolphin with a beer on his head nearly the entire time XD  Was definitely a good time!  Had dinner at Miraku afterward.  Mike got quadruple rice!

Mike and I went to see Starship Troopers in theaters last Thursday.  I'd never seen the movie before, and it was the Riff Trax version (aka MST3K) :D  It was awesome!!  I don't think I would've enjoyed that movie nearly as much without their commentary (it was kind of campy…) :)  We also went out to see RIPD… yes, instead of Superman, or Pacific Rim, or anything else that was out.  I thought it was amusing :D

I purchased a backrest/sissy bar for my motorcycle last week, and Mike and I installed it this weekend.  It looks awesome!  Just need to get him a helmet, and then he'll happily ride with me again :)

Spent a couple of hours this weekend cleaning up the second bedroom.  It actually didn't take nearly as long as I anticipated.  You can actually sit in there now, and play NES/SNES/Dreamcast comfortably :)

Been thinking about what I want to do for my birthday.  Not sure what to do, or who would go.  Maybe I'll just go out to a bar with Mike.  I'll get drunk, he can watch me make a fool of myself, and then drive me home XD

Happy Birthday to my darling Doc Brown!  He's now 3 years old :)
