Not a Moose

No Iron Gods this Saturday. Skipping PFS Sunday. No Hunter's home game this Sunday (or for at least 3 weekends.) Not going to be in town for Cullyn's home game Monday. Woah. NO PATHFINDER?? This is going to be so weird o.O However, after 5 tables this past weekend at Save vs Hunger, and Cullyn's home game Monday night, I think I'm okay to pass up on roleplaying for a weekend :)

Save vs Hunger was tons of fun! Hunter killed my Barbarian Charn unfairly :( He drew the map wrong, which totally fucked our party out of being able to successfully complete the final encounter, resulting in a TPK. This was right before the special was starting, meaning Bradd, Sara, and I were all going to be unable to play (or at least have to play level 1-2's instead of our high level characters, which is no fun in a special.) I brought up the mishap to our Venture Captain, Nick, who decided we would all get free rezes around the table. Huzzah! There goes Charn's last free pass ;) She's level 8 now, and ever so much closer to permadead land :o

The special was okay. There were... 7 full tables? And it was supposed to be competitive, so we were all doing our best to be faster than each other at completing different acts of the scenario. Our table was super slow :/ I think there was only one encounter we actually finished, and it wasn't even early by any means. Everything else for the most part we were maybe 1/3rd of the way through before time was called. Oh well! Was definitely interesting to play in, just wish we had more time :)

Had a blast playing Dee Goodguy, who's already level 2! :) I managed to get a multitude of groans upon every table I played at when I made my character introduction- totally worth it!! Looking forward to playing her more, and getting her up higher in level so she can play with her brothers :D Hunter and I are planning on making teamwork feat characters as well with some fun racial boons. Maybe fighter archer and fighter melee?

Tiger stalking!

Really want to get into GMing. Even started reading the GM 101/201 PDFs to get an idea of what I should do to prepare. Also downloaded and read over the first First Steps scenario, since I've never actually looked at the information "behind the scenes." With Paizo's introduction of the Core Campaign, I think it'll be even easier for me to get into, too :) Means I can run low level stuff that my friends have already played and gotten credit for in "normal" PFS and they'll be able to play on my table and receive credit. You know, if those are the assholes I want on my table anyway :)

I fell down the last bit of Hunter's stairs yesterday and busted up my arm pretty nicely. When it starts to shine I'll make sure to take a picture.

Apparently, this is an amazing Cincinatti pizza place, and now there's one right down the street from my apartment! Now we just need a Skyline Chili place :)

Mehdi was thinking of me the other day! :D (Get jealous, Curtis.)

Like a Fox

LOTS of PFS planned for this weekend! It's the charity event Save vs Hunger; come out and play if you're looking for some fun this weekend :) Going to be introducing the Goodguy little sister Dee tomorrow morning, and will be putting Charn in harm's way once again a couple of times throughout the weekend. Should be good times!

Had an idea for Valentine's Day cards this year, but I don't think I'll have the time to execute them properly :/ I should've started sooner when I first thought of it. I've got it all worked out in my head, but I feel like I don't have the appropriate artistic level to execute them well. I guess we'll see how it goes :d

Haven't been video gaming too terribly much, but I did finish up several more achievements in Civ:BE. Only a few left and then they're all done (for now!) Having issues with the Apollo difficulty level tho; I'm really just not that good at the game :d

Been doing a bunch of work to implement a new design for my company's website (looks so ancient, eh?) However, whoever built it initially has scatter shot code everywhere :/ I've spent so much time working around/removing it that I should've just started from scratch. That should end up being the plan once I get back on that project tho, so it'll be okay!

Found this in my notebook the other day. Completely forgot about it. I can't get enough of those China pencils.

Started dabbling in sketching my Aasimar for Iron Gods a couple of days ago, too. I feel like she's going to end up with a halo that she retains a great disdain for :) I need to draw moar...

I feel like a magician!

Werewolf was a fantastic time as always! I had been asked to run a few days prior, but then there was a GM for every round so… oh well. Maybe next time! I would love to give it a shot. Got the Cupid card and made Bradd and Felix lovers :D Attempted to use it to my advantage, but Bradd threw Felix right under the bus anyway!

Was also love linked to Felix in one of the games myself, and the best part was I was a werewolf and he wasn't! When I was targeted, I totally bluffed that I was a villager but revealed I was linked to Felix so that they wouldn't kill us both. It totally worked! but I was the last werewolf left when it got down to 4 people (myself, Felix, Sara who was Wolverine, and one other person.) There was no way for me to win at that point, since eventually I'd have to eat Felix or Sara, both of which would result in my death :( Oh well! It's always really fun when it gets down to the wire like that. And that game in particular was amusing, since Felix doesn't normally make it through the third round!

We had something like a 7 or 8 person kill in one of the games. The deck was stacked with special cards (like Wolverine, Human Torch, etc.), and they all ended up going off at once! BAMF!

Also, I'm officially super scrappy!

Going to be playing in the Iron Gods Adventure Path that Chuffy's running for almost a near identical group to the Monday night game group (Hunter and myself, Bradd and Sara, Balo, Felix, and Cullyn.) I've opted to be the healbot, so I've built a Merciful Healer Cleric who will be prestiging into Envoy of Balance. Should be fun! :) I'm an Aasimar, Hunter's decided to go Tiefling, and our characters will be lovers! We're going for an amusing factor: angel-descendent and fiend-descendent, but with opposing alignments to what you would assume we would be. He's going lawful goody-two-shoes, and I'm true neutral-DGAF. I'm excited ^^

Save vs Hunger is this weekend, and it will be the first introduction of Dee Goodguy! The first character I've made since Charn that I've been actually looking forward to playing at PFS. Oh snap, that means I should probably finalize her sheet before Saturday... >.>

Had a fun We Be Goblins table with Hunter, Sara, Bradd, and Felix yesterday. WOO SET THINGS ON FIRE!! :D Had Hunter's home game last night as well, feels like it's been forever since we played. Been dawdling around in this huge dungeon area kind of lost. I think party morale might be dying, much like our characters! That's what happens when you have a bloodthirsty warmonger for a DM! ;)

I don't want to take away from the post I'll be making about the table, but it's coming along swimmingly! Can't wait to finish it up and have people over to play games on it!

We're lookin' slick! Don't Be jelly :D

If you like someone, there is something to be said for taking the leap.

Do what you feel MEOW!

Hunter gave me my first "how to drive a manual vehicle" on Tuesday in his car. I know I was probably overconfident at first; it couldn't be terribly different than my motorcycle, right? -_-;;; I was pretty wrong! We drove around his neighborhood for 15-20 minutes or so, just to let me get a feel for it. Probably stalled out 5 or 6 times :/ Then he said, "okay, drive us to your place!" O.O Aaaahhh! I was quite scurrd! But… I didn't stall out until I was pulling into the parking spot in front of my apartment :D Didn't even cause it to chug much at all! Even on turns!! I have to say, I impressed myself with how well I did for my first time. Hunter was also quite proud of me :D

Wednesday Hunter and I went on a dinner date :) Had delicious Famous Dave's BBQ and then introduced him to Ingress! Got him to level 3 in the maybe hour and a half we spent driving around. Didn't get out of the car but once since it was about 8 degrees outside o.O Drove over to the Karns area to bust up Bradd and Sara's base ;) It's awesome to have someone to play with again!

Dropped my phone… again… yesterday. It's okay, but scratched up another corner :/ This was the third time since I'd gotten the Thesaurus book case for it. I had told myself after dropping it twice that if it happened again I would go back to my Otterbox from before, so busted that case out once I got home. What's unfortunate is Hunter purchased the exact same case (commuter style and blue/slate color) for his S4 as well… we've determined that we're now never allowed to have the same lock screen :P

Figures it's going to rain this weekend, now that it's warming up after all this freezing cold weather :( Missing snow right about now.

Going to buy my ticket for RBF and LTJ in Atlanta on Feb 2nd. Everyone's welcome to come with :D If anyone wants to join in and doesn't want to drive back after, I could probably obtain a hotel room.

People make promises all the time, then they turn right around and break them.

Know Through Knowledge

Happy 2015!

The first week of the year has been going well thus far. I would say "back to work," but I wasn't ever not working during the holiday season. However, everyone else is popping back up in the office! Lots to catch up on. Hopefully we can close some of the open loops I've been waiting on the past few weeks of seasonal silence.

New Year's Eve was a blast! Met up with Hunter, Felix, Cullyn, and Rob at The Brewery for dinner and drinks. Headed to Rob's nearby flat for moar drinks! We then piled into a cab to the alternate location for Temple: our destination for the countdown :) Bunch of others were there, including Bradd and Sara! I stole Bradd's hat one too many times and felt bad about it :( But otherwise, I think everyone had a pretty great night!

Hunter and I became "Facebook-official" or whatevs :P We're adorable! :D

Afterward, I drove the 4-man party (Hunter, Felix, Cullyn, and myself) to Waffle House since I was the only one sober to do so.  Mmmm waffles :D Never have I been to WH so many times in my life until I started hanging out with this crowd XD

The next morning I woke up and the bridge of my nose was all bruised. I remembered Felix grabbing a hold of my nose at some point during the night and tugging it around, and I relayed as much to Hunter. On Friday, he, Bradd, Felix, Cullyn, Zach, AJ, and I met up at Felix's to play some during-the-week Pathfinder. Hunter asked Felix about my nose, and he said that when I walked outside at Temple a rando elbowed me in the face on accident o.O I don't remember this at all; neither did Hunter, Bradd, or Sara :o Oh well! Nothing that won't heal up :)

The game we ran was super rough, even despite us having 2 channeling healers (13d6 of healing a round IIRC), and me being the only character that couldn't heal anyone. Definitely had some close calls between both mine and Hunter's characters, but we lived and defeated the Ifrit queen (and her badass, face-raping whore friend!) I didn't do half bad on damage throughout either, if I say so myself. RAWR BARBAR! XD

Saturday, Hunter ran his home game. We met Clint's new character: a slayer. Hopefully we'll find traps before they spring on us, now! :) I don't think Casey will be coming back, and Hunter's friend Trey has already dipped out of the game :/ Hunter was out for blood for the second week in a row, and nearly killed another one of us. They're dropping like flies!

Sunday was PFS as per usual, but I was at a fantastic table (so, out of the ordinary ;) ) Bradd, Sara, Damon and I faced up against a 3-7 scenario that we played-up on. Had some tough combats, but I made it all the way to the last fight before I was beheaded! Felix got sequential round crits on me; it couldn't be helped. Even he was surprised, considering he didn't murder my face during Friday's game. I had enough prestige to get myself resurrected, and enough gold to have my negative levels removed, so it was all good! That can't happen again for awhile tho ;)

Monday night game was a little less exciting, during which we found out that Cera will no longer be joining us /sad puppy. Balo and my characters spoke out during the roleplay portion of the night, and were outright overruled without debate. The first combat was army-based, during which Sara, Felix, and I sat out. And in the second encounter, Hunter and I were dazed the entire 5 rounds that combat lasted. Le sigh! Maybe I need to buy me a cloak of resistance and ioun stones to buff up my Will save. I feel this way about pretty much every one of my characters, ha! :)

Lots of Pathfinder coming up this month with another charity event going on: Save vs Hunger. Everyone should come out for this cause, and (of course) the awesome gaming! I've got my barbarian up to level 7 now (yay!) but that means she's in the danger zone of 7 to 11 land. Not sure how much longer she'll last before getting murdered to the point of being dead dead. We shall see! I've already started building another new character. I have two level 2's (a warpriest and a kineticist) but they're kind of meh. This one is going to be from the Goodguy family, which currently consists of 3 brothers (2 played by Hunter and 1 by Cullyn.) I'll be taking on the role of the Goodguy little sister: she's prettier and smarter than all three of her older brothers combined! ;) Although, I don't think that's a very difficult task to accomplish... Should be fun :)

Werewolf this Saturday! Awooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'd far rather be happy than right any day.
